Here we “Go, Go” again, with a new trailer for Saban/Lionsgate’s modern big screen adaptation of Power Rangers. Does it look anything like your childhood? Or does it redeem any issues the internet might have had with the project before? That remains to be seen. But if you’re curious, give the trailer a click so you can form your thoughts.
If you have been following this site for a while, you’ll know that your good ol’ friend Dalin has been a bit obsessed with a certain Disney release coming in March 17th of next year. And she’s also been waiting a heck of a long time for the official, non-teaser trailer to drop. With the release of Moana shortly, it makes sense that the House of Mouse finally gave this Movie Princess what she wanted. And it truly is a dream come true.
Prepare the nostalgic tissues and click below to see the fully, edited masterpiece in all its trailer perfection glory.
For the past couple of years, you might have been hearing about a little movie called Passengers. Filled with drama on and off the camera in every corner, this new Sci-Fi Action/Romance has been the talk of Hollywood since the day it was mentioned. But with stars Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence (who fought to get a paycheck that doubles that of her co-stars), Passengers has a lot to live up to, and the first trailer for the film certainly adds more fuel to that flame.
I’ve been so wrapped up in The Force Awakens and Episode VIII’s filming that I haven’t been paying attention to Rogue One. I had a vague recollection that it was about stealing the Death Star plans (as referenced in A New Hope), but the internet’s made such hoopla about casting Han Solo that I didn’t realize the film was trailer-ready. But behold! The trailer is here, setting hopes and excitement high. Felicity Jones is Jyn Erso, a wayward (dare I say rogueish) young woman recruited to the alliance.
I know it is Star Wars Week at the moment, but I think it is pretty important to mention that today the first trailer for the new installment of another Star related franchise has dropped. And it is definitely something new and refreshing compared to the other trailers released in the past couple of weeks. Here, I present to you the first trailer, for Star Trek: Beyond!
Some of you might have noticed that in the past week or so, a lot–and I mean a lot–of trailers have dropped. Why? Well it just so happens that the biggest movie event of the year, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is coming out in just a week. And what does that mean? Well, a lot of big time movies want to grab your attention before you see the craziest cinematic experience of 2015–so they can get you pumped for the ones that could be the top dog for 2016.
So, which of these advertisements has gotten my film nerd dreams blazing? Well here’s a list of what I think are the cream of the crop, and bottom of the barrel, from the trailers that could be in front of your screening next weekend.
Okay, tell me if you’ve heard this one before: Two royal sisters are torn apart by a tragic misunderstanding. One has the power of snow and ice, and runs away to a remote location. There’s hearts broken, sisterhood, a guy who chops things, and trolls. Of course, I’m talking about Disney’s box office hit Fro…… sorry, I mean Universal’s 2016 release, The Huntsman: Winter’s War starring Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt, Chris Hemsworth and Jessica Chastain. And if you were one of the very few who was curious to know what happened before AND after 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman, well we finally got our first look at this new addition to the franchise. Because that’s exciting…. right?
Back in the day, I used to play a little game called Warcraft. Though I shortly gave up on the game, as my parents deemed it “too addictive” for my young self, I still found the world at least interesting to look at from a far. Now, many years later, it seems a trailer for the first ever Warcraft movie has officially dropped into the laps of the internet. And man, does it peak my interest.
Ryan Reynolds plays former Special Forces operative-turned-mercenary Wade Wilson. After being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, he adopts the alter ego Deadpool. With his new abilities and a twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
I saw the Red Band trailer first, so there’s some sex, graphic violence, and adult language that’s been edited or cut from this trailer. But it still stays true to setting up the gritty, comedic tone that Deadpool is known for. I’m pleasantly surprised at how much of the comics origin story appears to be at play: Vanessa Carlysle, Blind Althea, Weasel, Ajax and the Weapon X program…. and hello, a surprise X-Man!
It was only a few short months ago that we saw the release of Disney/Pixar’s first official look at The Good Dinosaur, the delayed project that explores what would happen if the famous crash that killed the dinosaurs never happened. Now, with the first full trailer being released, we begin to see what the plot of this new Dino-adventure might actually be about.
