Terrance Zdunich and Saar Hendelman, who most recently collaborated on Devil’s Carnival: Alleluiah! are touring again! This time, they’re taking their newest project, American Murder Song, on the road. Zdunich and Hendelman are calling this the American Wake Tour, and tickets are available here.
The big question: what on earth is Amercian Murder Song? It’s different from Repo: The Genetic Opera and The Devil’s Carnival in that it is not a film. Steampunk World’s Fair (SPWF for short) is happening this weekend in Piscataway, New Jersey. This family friendly convention has consistently been one of my favorite conventions each year. The two venues are super welcoming, the vendors are awesome, there are always crazy talented musicians, interesting panels and speakers, and attendees always step up their costume game.
This year, there’s so much to be excited about! The convention is really changing and flourishing. Here are the most exciting things to see at the 2016 Steampunk World’s Fair:
The Devil’s Carnival, the first movie in this trilogy of musicals, tells the story of three souls who end up in hell. Their stories mirror three Aesop’s Fables as told by the Devil himself (Terrance Zdunich) to a young boy. The movie ends with *spoiler* Lucifer deciding to wage war with God and Heaven.
