“And the Fables of Doom” The Librarians 1×06 and Sleepy Hollow 2×12 “Paradise Lost”
So the next few weeks of recaps from me will be a little weird because I’m covering The Librarians AND Sleepy Hollow in one post. My ratings systems for each of the shows will not change from previous recaps, although you will inevitably notice I rate each of them differently. Librarians gives us an excellent romp in a town overrun by fairytales, but Sleepy Hollow’s a (not entirely worthless) letdown involving angels and demons. Funnily enough, the title of this week’s Sleepy Hollow was actually referenced in The Librarians: Jacob Stone looks at a very old tome and geeks out. “The Annotated Paradise Lost?!” According to Jenkins, we don’t wanna know who it’s annotated by. Is it Satan? I bet it’s Satan.

..Where Do We Go From Here?: Sleepy Hollow 2×11, “The Akeda”
….The mid-season conclusion of Sleepy Hollow’s left me with more questions than answers, so I’m sorry if this is the least coherent (or interesting) recap I offer you dear readers. The trailer for this episode had me SUPER HYPED – but now, in hindsight, I feel like whoever cut that promo together practically gave you a summation of the episode up ’til the last ten minutes: The Sword of Methuselah comes with a caveat, as every apocalypse-ending weapon does. It looks like Irving may provide a loophole around the risk, so the whole gang gears up to take on Moloch.
But of course, nothing can ever go as planned. That wouldn’t be very good TV.

Can’t Have Lunch Without Peril: Sleepy Hollow 2×10, “Magnum Opus”
After the tear-jerking beauty that was last week’s “Mama,” can Sleepy Hollow keep the momentum going for their mid-season finale? Last time we saw the Mills Sisters acquire the journal of their ancestor, Grace Dixon, who was Katrina’s midwife for the birth of Jeremy/Henry. Team Witness works to decode the journal in order to find a weapon capable of defeating Moloch, whom they now know is on earth and growing at a fast rate.

Tears for the Mills Sisters’ Fears: Sleepy Hollow 2×09, “Mama”
While Ichabod fights a cold, Abbie teams up with Jenny, Irving, and Hawley to investigate three sudden suicides at Tarrytown Psychiatric. The Mills sisters are forced to confront painful memories when they realize the spirit of their mother (played by Aunjanue Ellis) is involved.
