“Star Trek: Discovery” Announces New Cast Members

Someone (aka the people at CBS Television) have clearly gone into my brain and taken the fan fiction I wrote at 14 years old, and have brought it to life. What do I mean? Well, the folks behind the new Star Trek series (Discovery) have announced some more casting – and hold onto your nerdy tissues, because this news is incredible. That’s right, in addition to previously announced Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), we found out that two more actors have joined the cast -Anthony Rapp (Rent) and Doug Jones (Hellboy). If this sounds crazy amazing to you, then clearly this (like it is for me) is your nerdy dream come true.

If any of you read my “Most Anticipated Movies of 2015” article from a couple of weeks ago, you’ll remember my number one choice was a ghost story with gothic charms called Crimson Peak. Now, the Guillermo Del Toro flick has dropped its first trailer, and man oh man do we have a gem on our creepy little hands.

Dalin’s Simulcast Corner: “Voice Actor Wishlist” Edition

Much of the time, me and my friends like to have the odd conversation here and there about a certain kind of talent. To me, as much as I adore the glamourous stars of stage and screen, there is something specifically about voice actors that really strike a cord with me. And as such, I feel it is time to discuss something I’ve always wanted to bring up here in this column: Actors I’d like to see work in Anime! From some that have worked in the genre before, to others that have never stepped foot, here is a list of fantastic actors you may (or may not) know, that need to get their Anime on – like right now!
