LIBRARIANS S4: CONFIRMED

It’s only been two days since the season 3 finale, and I haven’t even had a chance to write my review of the season as a whole. THAT’S how much a hit TNT has with The Librarians, which is officially renewed for a fourth season!

Sunday’s finale felt a tad rushed, given the slow build-up from the rest of the season. But I’m looking forward to seeing this series continue.  I want to know what the prophecy of “Eve Baird will change the fate of the Library forever” really entails.  Keep an eye out for my review of season three, coming soon!

screen-shot-2016-11-29-at-3-16-19-pm

Someone (aka the people at CBS Television) have clearly gone into my brain and taken the fan fiction I wrote at 14 years old, and have brought it to life. What do I mean? Well, the folks behind the new Star Trek series (Discovery) have announced some more casting – and hold onto your nerdy tissues, because this news is incredible. That’s right, in addition to previously announced Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), we found out that two more actors have joined the cast -Anthony Rapp (Rent) and Doug Jones (Hellboy). If this sounds crazy amazing to you, then clearly this (like it is for me) is your nerdy dream come true.

AMERICA YES: America Chavez Slated for Solo Series

As someone who doesn’t get to read comics as often as I’d like, I learn about the coolest characters through my friends, and occasionally Tumblr. So while I’m not the go-to expert on Young Avenger America Chavez, I’m no less pumped today’s NYCC news.

This fan-favorite female superhero will be getting a solo title in 2017! Why is Miss America so beloved? She’s a Latin-American LGBTQ teenager saving the world one punch at a time. Her powers include super strength, invulnerability, flight, and tearing holes in reality.

The book is simply titled America and will feature cover work by Jamie McKelvie, who worked on Young Avengers. Details are still sparse, but DG will be sure to report more as it becomes available.

What do you hope to see in America’s solo series? Share in the comments!

In Memoriam: Anton Yelchin

When celebrities die, some feel a sense of loss because the individual in question was an icon. But there are a few individuals that evoke something more than that, as if they were almost family. That is the category I would have put Anton Yelchin in, who tragically died today at the age of 27 from a car accident.

Yes, my friends! The day (and teaser trailer) is here. Margot Robbie To Produce All Female DC Movie

Harley Quinn fans rejoice! According to the Hollywood Reporter, our girl will be headlining a spin-off adventure. This project will not be a solo-film, however. Sources are saying this film will be a female centric cast of DC’s superheros and villains. Potential plots and other characters involved are being kept very hush-hush. The only other names and plots being thrown around with the project are Batgirl and the Birds of Prey plotline.
