Earlier this week Daily Geekette posted a review of Alleluia!, the much-anticipated sequel to 2012’s The Devil’s Carnival. While my fellow writers caught the show in Philadelphia, I treated myself to the awesomeness of the Road Tour’s stop in Massachusetts with a VIP ticket. I roped in an unsuspecting victim, I mean…friend, and headed to Hell in full carnie regalia.
Have you not seen any of the Devil’s Carnival yet? What’re you doing, you sinner? You can get by with DG’s review, but I recommend you watch the first installment of the series, listen to the sequel’s soundtrack, and then come back here. I’ll wait.
Today is a very important day in the Harry Potter fandom. On this day, the Boy Who Lived was born. Not just Harry, though. Our Queen, J.K. Rowling also graced our planet with her majestic presence. It is with a heavy heart that I am bringing this article to life. In my Hedwig Inspired article, I mentioned a makeup brand called Lime Crime. The name was followed with high praise of the quality in the products and a subsequent rave review was to follow in the coming weeks.

However, this got me thinking that convention season is fast approaching and we all need an emergency kit. This week, we will be going over what you will need in your emergency kit. For organization’s sake, I will be breaking things down into three categories. Continue reading Emergency Cosplay Kit→
This is a very exciting article for me to write. On March 6th I will be crossing off a major Bucket List item by seeing John Cameron Mitchell perform in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway. To mark the occasion, I am bringing you all the makeup I will be wearing for the show (outfit is still to be determined). This look is heavily inspired, and by no means a faithful recreation of Hedwig’s signature makeup. However, the techniques used to create Ms. Hedwig’s look are the same I used here. Are you ready for the epicness? Continue reading Hedwig and the Angry Inch Inspired Makeup→
A few months back, I discussed the “lifestyle” line Harleen. DC is cashing in on their cash cow known as Harley Quinn. I, very obviously, had my reservations about the whole concept of the line. Last Thursday, however, I got an email from Hot Topic announcing its release.
