Star Wars: The Force Awakens New Trailer Released

With still a few months until release, and with tickets flying off the internet shelves, the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer is here. And to say it is beautiful is an understatement to the nerdy loving eye. Behold the glory that is this new footage, for truly I believe this is the trailer you have been looking for:

The trailer starts with a figure we have come to know is someone we should deem important: Rey (Daisy Ridley), an individual who seems lost in who she truly is. We also encounter Finn (John Boyega) who seems to be on a similar quest, to find himself. Harking back to the similar sentiments of a certain Star Wars hero (coughLUKEcough), The Force Awakens seems to bring about familiar themes, but in a new modern way, bringing us the kind of Star Wars we have never truly seen before.

We finally learn a bit about Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), who seems to be (as many rumors have indicated) a fan boy of Darth Vader, and wants to bring him back in a way. But how far will he truly go? We also get a few glimpses of Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), along with classic friends, Leia and Han Solo (Carrie Fischer and Harrison Ford, respectively.) Though these clips are short, they offer exactly what should be seen of these characters without ruining the magic of discovering their secrets within the film itself.

Many will wonder, where the heck is Luke (Mark Hamill) in all of this? In all honesty, I have my guesses, but I believe he is right under our noses. We just don’t know how close he is. You know, follow what Ackbar says:

So what do you think of the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer? Are you excited? Nervous? Were you able to survive the blood bath and get tickets? Comment below with your thoughts, squeals and more! And May The Force Be With You, Always.

  1. It is literally all over my twitter feed and my phone and facebook is going crazy – the last time this happened we got a new Prime Minister. Loved that it definitely had JJ’s finger prints on it but still felt like the franchise we know and love!! Tickets secured. Now I’m just waiting for Marty McFly to turn up tomorrow and all will be right with the world.
