How to Make Butterbeer

Today is a very important day in the Harry Potter fandom. On this day, the Boy Who Lived was born. Not just Harry, though. Our Queen, J.K. Rowling also graced our planet with her majestic presence. In honor of them, we are making homemade Butterbeer to toast in their honor.


The things you will need are:


~Cream Soda

~Butterscotch Ice Cream Topping

~Heavy Whipping Cream

~Confectioner’s Sugar

~Imitation Butter Flavor

~Stand Mixer


Before you start, put your cream soda in the fridge so it will be nice and cold.


Grab a huge bowl (or a stand mixer) and add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, 2 tablespoons of confectioner’s sugar, and ½ teaspoon of the imitation butter flavor. Beat it until it is nice and fluffy! Mine took about two minutes. When that is done, grab your favorite glass and add the Butterscotch topping. You can add however much you want. Pour in the cream soda and stir to combine. Top it off with the homemade whipped cream and drink up!


Here is a fun little sidenote: If you would like to make this alcoholic, add Butterscotch Schnapps instead of the ice cream topping.
